What is "Flyball"?

flyball.jpg

Flyball is a relay race between two teams of four dogs which race over four hurdles, retrieve a ball from the flyball box and return over the four hurdles again where the next dog awaits, champing at the bit, for their turn.

Each team has four dogs and two reserves, just incase someone is not up to the chase. there are between 3 and 5 heats per race, the team with the majority heat wins, wins the race.

All breeds of dogs can be a member of a flyball team. they dont need an obsession with balls, but it does help.

Any dog can be trained to be a flyball competitor.

So talk to Denise and come and have a try.

Flyball Training is on Monday nights @ 7.30pm at the dog club
